Femi Omotayo is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of international oil and gas experience. His strong technical background supported his progression into executive management roles with international companies including Shell, Halliburton, AMEC and Talisman Energy.
After eighteen years of professional service in Europe, he became Managing Director of Orwell Oil and Gas International in 2000. He subsequently led the company through a successful merger that resulted in the creation of AOS Orwell Limited, one of the largest indigenous oilfield service companies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
He has qualifications in Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Dundee and Imperial College London respectively. He also has a qualification in Business Administration from the University of Aberdeen.
Through his leadership, he has contributed to the development of AOS Orwell's diverse and talented workforce and to the development of Nigerian manpower capabilities for professional oilfield product and service delivery.
Femi remains committed to his Nigerian roots and continues to champion innovation and technology transfer as important drivers of change and global best practice within the indigenous oilfield services industry.
