Dr. Olumuyiwa Adebayo is a finance executive and strategic leader with over 18 years of progressive experience spanning banking, professional services, oil and gas, energy, power and infrastructure sectors.
He holds a Doctorate in Finance, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science with Second Class Upper honours. His academic and professional development also includes postgraduate qualifications in Data Science, Transfer Pricing and Sustainable Finance from institutions including the University of Oxford, Harvard University, Columbia Business School, the University of Cambridge and the University of Texas at Austin.
He is a CFA Charterholder and Certified Financial Risk Manager. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Institute of Credit Administration, and holds CGMA and ACMA designations from CIMA in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Adebayo has held senior leadership positions including General Manager, Group Finance and Group Head, Tax, Transfer Pricing and Financial Controls at Sahara Group, as well as Chief Finance Officer at RAK Unity Petroleum Plc.
In these roles, he provided strategic oversight across corporate finance, capital structuring, tax optimisation, financial controls, procurement strategy, regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
His leadership experience includes driving financial turnaround initiatives, strengthening governance frameworks, improving cost optimisation and supporting stronger stakeholder confidence.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Consultant with Deloitte, where he led IFRS implementation and advisory engagements across a range of industries. He also held control and relationship management roles with Intercontinental Bank Plc.
In 2026, Dr. Olumuyiwa Adebayo joined AOS Orwell as Director of Finance.
